SPEAK UP!

When should you speak up for your care? Here are some common examples:
– When you try to contact your medical provider or supporting staff, and there is no return call

– When there is a lot of information explained, and you don’t think you will recall it later

– If you don’t understand the information

– If you’re confused about the recommendations

– If you believe the medication prescribed is costly, or you may have an adverse reaction

If you need help speaking up for your care, a patient advocate has no problem doing it for you! In addition, we aren’t afraid to raise questions regarding your safety.
